Jackie Meyners
(she/her)
Education Director
Jackie Meyners is a director and theatre educator who is passionate about creating powerful theatrical experiences for both artists and audience members alike.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Education and Acting from the University of Northern Colorado, Jackie taught middle and high school Drama in the public school setting for eight years. Under her direction, Meadowdale High School’s production of Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl was one of eight high school productions nationwide to perform on the MainStage at the 2025 International Thespian Festival, the first Washington state school to perform on the MainStage since 2009. In addition to her work at Seattle Public Theater, Jackie also coaches acting through the Voice Studio of Jordyn Day, and teaches a career engagement course at Shoreline Community College.
Jackie has worked with students of all ages, from preschool through adulthood. She believes that youth deserve high quality theatre programming: they have the talent, the passion, the capacity, and the right to create art that is impactful. And, of course, they should be having a lot of fun while doing so.
