Flyology explores how to be heard in a world intent on keeping you quiet. Ada Lovelace’s brain is a whir of mixing the offerings of her absent parents—Lord Byron, the poet and Annabella Byron, the princess of parallelograms—with Ada's own understanding of the world. From dead birds to flying horses, from unfolding equations to her cat Mrs. Puff, young Ada explores and designs her way through her overscheduled life until she meets mathematician Charles Babbage. Together, they work on Babbage’s Analytical Engine and Ada herself develops what will become the world’s first computer program. But who will be remembered? And why?
