Hayley Finn has been a director, and advocate of new work for the past 20 years. Finn is the Associate Artistic Director at the Playwrights’ Center where she works with emerging and established artists. During her tenure she has produced over 600 workshops, managed partnerships with theaters such as Elevator Repair Service, Goodman Theatre, HERE Arts Center, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Tectonic Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Walker Art Center, and created a program with the Network of Ensemble Theaters, which supports new collaborations between playwrights and ensembles. She has directed regionally and internationally at the Cherry Lane Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe, Guthrie Theater, HERE Arts Center, Flea Theater, The Kitchen, Marin Theater Company, New Dramatists, O’Neill Theater Center, Public Theater, Playwrights’ Horizons, South Coast Repertory Theatre, and the Nine Gates Festival in Prague.
Up next she will be directing NINA SIMONE: FOUR WOMEN at People’s Light. Finn is an Alumna of the Drama League Director’s Program, recipient of the Ruth Easton Fellowship, TCG Future Leader Grant, National Endowment for the Arts support, and a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant. She received her BA and MA from Brown University.
