You + SPT = Impact

Your Impact

We are so grateful to our many generous donors! Over 300 days a year you allow us to meet our mission of making theeater an integral part of life in Seattle, in making theater that provokes conversation and curiosity among us all.

We Need You Even Closer

We need you to make your gift now so that SPT can bring theater to over 25,000 people this year. Your gift serves 600 families in our Youth Program and fuels 160+ shows. Your gift delivers year-round Youth Program performances free to the public!

Seattle Public Theater is a cultural 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Like most mid-size theaters (even great and large theaters), only 50% of our revenue comes from ticket sales and tuition for our education programs. The other 50% comes from gifts – donations made from individuals like you, as well as private foundations and government agencies.

SPT by the Numbers

Your gift has direct impact. Our budget for producing great theater at the Bathhouse is $604,000 in 2015-2016, and below are some numbers to give you an idea of how we spend it:

Producing one Mainstage production: $40,000
Costuming Youth productions for one year: $15,000
Paying professional Teaching Artists for our Youth Theater Program: $65,000
Keeping the theater maintained and updated each year: $32,000
Offering tuition assistance to Young theater makers: $10,000
