Audiences will laugh (and cry) their way into the New Year with the Tony Award-winning comedy, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, by Tom Stoppard, running January 27th-February 19th, 2012.  Zany humor, quicksilver wordplay, gripping tension and a heady swirl of ideas all come together in this story of two nobodies who long to star in their own story.  SPT's revival, directed by Artistic and Education Director Shana Bestock, casts local actresses in traditionally male roles.
Directed by Shana Bestock, featuring Matt Aguayo, Angela DiMarco (The 13th of Paris, Halcyon Days), Ray Gonzalez, Heather Hawkins (End Days, Mauritius), Julie Jamieson (Arms and the Man), Alyssa Keene (Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol), Kenna Kettrick (The Best Christmas Pageant Ever), Patrick Lennon (Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol), Jessa Lowe, John Murray (Of Mice and Men, Mauritius) and Duncan Weinland (The Best Christmas Pageant Ever).

"After the first night of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead at the National Theatre in 1967, Tom Stoppard awoke and found himself famous. It's still a delightful shock, every few years, to be reminded how brilliant and engaging this play remains."
