PREVIEW SEPTEMBER 29, 2011
OPENS SEPTEMBER 30
RUNS THROUGH OCTOBER 23

THE CRYPTOGRAM

By David Mamet

Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays @7:30 PM, Sunday matinee @2:00 PM. Approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.

The season opens with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet’s powerful drama, The Cryptogram.  A young boy can't sleep. Tomorrow is the big father-son camping trip, but it's late and his dad still hasn't returned home. The other adults seem to know something he doesn't, but the things they're saying don't seem to be what they're really talking about.  Running September 30th-October 23rd, The Cryptogram is a taut, tension-filled dive into the coded language at the heart of families.

Directed by Kelly Kitchens, featuring Emily Grogan (My Wonderful Day) Rowan Calvert, and Richard Sloniker.

"The dialogue brims with that distinctive Mamet style of unfinished sentences and jabbing, intercepting, interrupted conversation. You can recognise Mamet’s plays from the staccato rhythm of the words."
