Roles for all ages and ethnicities
Seattle Public Theater will hold youth auditions for our annual holiday production of Barbara Robinson's The Best Christmas Pageant Ever directed by Shana Bestock on:
Saturday, September 27th from 12-4pm, with callbacks October 4th from 12-3pm.
Youth ages 8-18 and adults of all ages are invited to audition. To request an audition, please email a brief resume/bio with full contact information to:
Shana Bestock, Artistic Director
shanab@seattlepublictheater.org.
Subject: BXPE Audition
Please do not email photos. We will make every effort to schedule all interested actors.
For auditions, we will be seeing kids in groups and in half-hour slots. Please indicate if a particular time window works better for you. You may be asked to do a short (20-30 second) poem or monologue or song - please memorize something easy and fun that you like to perform.
Please bring photo (doesn't have to be fancy) and resume when you come (resumes for young actors should include parent contacts, school, and relevant class/extracurricular activities).
Callbacks will be held October 4th, and we will be reading from the script at this time. If you have recently worked with Seattle Public Theater's youth program, or been a previous cast member of BXPE, we may ask you to simply come to callbacks.
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever rehearses November 10th - Dec 10th, evenings 6-8:30pm and some weekend afternoons. There is no rehearsal over Thanksgiving. BXPE runs December 11th -24th; a full show calendar can be found on our website www.seattlepublictheater.org
All actors are paid a stipend.
